Video
product description
Voltage Class
1 kV (or 1.2 kV Class per ANSI/IEEE).
Current Rating
800 Amperes (continuous).
Standards: Conforms to relevant ANSI/IEEE C57 standards.
Function
An insulated electrical conductor that allows a low-voltage (up to 1.2kV), moderate-current (up to 800A) connection to pass safely through the grounded metal tank or enclosure of a transformer or other electrical apparatus.
Material: Commonly made of wet-process porcelain ( gray glaze).
Contruction: Usually a solid-type (non-condenser) bushing consisting of a central conductor (rod or stud), the main insulating body, mounting flange with gaskets for sealing, and terminals on both ends for connection.
Application: Used on the low-voltage (secondary) side of distribution transformers, pad-mounted transformers, network transformers, or low-voltage switchgear.
